After Hurricane Katrina and the loss of my father, I was left with an empty feeling. I also had a stroke and used the game of pool to help challenge my brain and help with recovery. I decided I wanted a custom cue. After researching cue makers, I chose Jacoby because they showed diverse cues and outside the same old thing and not just rearranging points, dots, squares and diamonds. Additionally, Jacoby Custom Cues are known for fine craftsmanship and top playability.
I spoke with the Jacoby staff and from start to finish they were warm and friendly and always had time to talk to me. The service is the best I've ever had from a company.
Jacoby took the time to listen. I told them I wanted my cue to have the feel of New Orleans, to think Blues and light Jazz. I wanted malachite. My father used to give malachite made items to my mother. I wanted something different with a unique look. I wanted the fleur de lis, A wrought iron look, copper for old world flavor, Mardi Gras colors but just a hint, and alligator grips to remember my younger days hunting in the bayou. All this and still be playable and have a classy look without being gaudy.
The first drawing was unbelievable. We made a change or two, and settled on the design.
When my cue's arrived they took my breath away, the cues where perfect extremely beautiful. I took a week off from work and played pool every day. I selected the Edge Hybrid shafts and they improved my game immediately. There is so much control, it's unbelievable. Players in the league were blown away by the cues. The better players who have some high end sticks couldn't believe how much better the Edge Hybrid shaft handled.
The break cue, with little effort, hits the rack like it is a cannon.
That empty feeling has been fulfilled with the pride of my Jacoby Custom Cues and all the great memories have come back. The quality, look, feel and playability are more than I could have expected.

Ninja Warrior I
This cue was designed by William M. Evans, a long time cue designer from Medford, Oregon and freind of the Jacoby Custom Cues family. Specifically, this cue was designed for Oscar Gabriel Larson, who is Bill's grandson, and will be given to Oscar to become a family heirloom.
This cue is made from hand selected Caxan Negro Burlwood which is a highly figured exotic hardwood. The use of bleached white Elforyn outlines on all of the malachite inlays really acentuate and bring out the colors in the Malachite. The cue also features the use of 100% natural Coper inlays and comes with two shafts with matching joint protectors. Finally, the entire design is pulled together using a.....wrap creating perfect harmony and a masterful flow of design and materials.
This is truly a stunning example of a custom built, one of a kind cue, and furthur demonstrates the abilities of the Jacoby Custom Cue company to work on a personal level with its customers for any scenario. The cue is signed and dated and comes with a certicate of authenticity.
