KW Shafts

This unique shaft gives you increased stability, improved resonance and tone, and a beautiful appearance. The shaft playability is often compared to that of old-growth maple. The shaft is specially treated using a specialized curing and drying process that alters the characteristics of the maple giving it its unique caramel color and sweet smell while also removing any moisture and sugars making it lighter and more warp resistant. The shaft is extremely smooth and chalk resistant. This shaft is a playing shaft only, they are not intended to be used as a break shaft.

SHAFT MAINTENANCE
You will find many theories about cleaning a wood shaft. Here's what Jacoby Custom Cues recommends for any Jacoby wood shaft; Use a clean, soft, dry cloth preferably a microfiber cloth to wipe it down after each use before you put it back in your case. This practice should keep most of the chalk and grime from your hands off the shaft. Depending on how often you use it and how dirty it gets, send it in to us or bring it in to our shop and have it reconditioned. If you use the shaft daily and keep it relatively clean as mentioned previously, you would need to recondition your Jacoby wood shaft every 4 to 6 months, or around the same time as having a new tip installed.
