Xtreme Jumper Reviews
- “The double grip in the middle of the cue is VERY functional.”
- “Jumped with ease and accuracy.”
- Brass Ferrule: jumped ok not as much ups as the other 2 shafts and couldn't get as much spin it seemed, had a ping sound also, dart stroke was good and a lot closer to the other 2 shafts for getting over a ball
- Black and White Ferrule: (Lumping together because they were so similar.) The jumping was top notch with both American and Dart Stroke. I could get the desired side and draw with both shafts, very satisfied with these. They felt good, sounded good, and performed great.
- The Jacoby Xtreme Jumper gives you the ability to jump close or far. The finish, fit and feel are excellent and the weight is very good. The Xtreme jumper is a jumper that can be tailored to you.
- Well balanced, would like to see Quick Release
- Did not like the brown phenolic at all.
- “Excellent jump cue that players will love! Well, balanced, easy to control with accuracy and multiple grooves accommodating players of all heights.”
- Titan CTB: “Of all the jump shafts/tip variations, this is hands down the BEST!!! It has great control and great accuracy for both long and tighter short jumps. This combined with the Xtreme Jumper is AMAZING.”
- “The combination of the Xtreme Jumper with the Jacoby Titan CTB shaft is an incredible jump cue that will elevate your game! It gives control and accuracy for close and long jumps. You’ll LOVE IT!”
- The white ferrule is my preferred as it provides great lift and also allows for wanted spin to be added. The black ferrule shaft got over the object ball with ease but was somewhat loose, lacking control. The brass ferrule seemed difficult to jump closer but still accurate and flexible.
- Maybe offer QR options, would think that a wider shaft would have allowed more controlled tip placement and control.
- “This cue is the closest I’ve seen to have long distance and short distance flexibility.”
- “This is one of the finest jump cues I’ve ever tried, flexible for longer and shorter jumps and accuracy with spin on the cue ball to get position after pocketing.”
- The craftsmanship and feel with the intended grips allows me to feel confident with the dart method application. Thanks for the ingenuity and quality material.”
- "I recently had the pleasure of being sent a Jacoby Extreme Jumper cue with 3 different shafts to test. I am an experienced and skilled jumper making contact a vast majority of the time I attempt a jump shot so I was really eager to test the Extreme Jumper. I had been using the same wood shaft jump cue for almost 10 years and tried the other carbon jump cues on the market and was never really impressed enough to make the investment.
I started with the phenolic tip (all black) assuming this would be most similar to the competitive carbon jump cues. Having performed approximately 200 dart and 200 classic jump shots with this tip combination I found success with jumping just not at the rate I wanted. The jump cue is incredibly powerful as a result makes it really easy to get the cue over the ball you’re trying to jump over. I highly recommend it for people new to jumping and needing a little help getting that “pop” needed when jumping the ball.
Next, I moved to the solid white tip jumper. The difference in control was immediately noticeable and resulted in more confidence jumping with precision vs just jumping to make good contact. The rate of making the ball went up with this tip compared to the phenolic. After around 175 of each jump style I noticed controlling the cue ball post contact with the object ball was easier with this tip. This jump cue was effortless and allowed for a ton of forward action and power off the cue ball.
Last, I used the brass ferrule because I had a gut feeling this was going to somehow be very impressive. Brass is something I immediately associated with cheap or low-end jump cues but knew to trust in Brandon so I was really looking forward to trying this out. I found the greatest success with making the ball and this felt most similar to the wood shaft jump cue I was so proficient with but without the flaws of wood (deflection). The brass ferrule jump shaft allowed for the most control and finesse without requiring much effort to get the cue ball off the table. This setup allows for the “softest” possible landing with the cue ball. With about 150 dart method and 200 classic method of jumping style I believe this to be the most superior option of all 3.
In the end, both jump shafts with the white tips played amazing and they’re hard to compare but the brass ferrule is the winner. If there was no comparing the 2 I am not sure I would be unhappy purchasing either product."
Monster Crush Reviews
- Months prior Jacoby sent me a Straight Breaker paired with a cut-break shaft with a Horo Black Storm tip and didn’t think this could get better, but I was wrong. Most recently I was sent the Jacoby Monster Crush and used the same shaft / tip setup as previously with the Straight Breaker so the only change would be the butt. Admittedly, when I was first told only the butt of the cue changing I thought to myself “what is this going to do?” but it didn’t take long to understand. The Monster Crush somehow both allows for more power and also dampens the impact for a supreme breaking experience. Having broken over 500 times with this combination I can say the Monster Crush with a cut-break shaft is the winning combination to “crush” your opposition!
- Likes the straight breaker better says it has a better hit and control
- "My favorite thing is the grip."
- "The Monster Crush Break Cue is a great break cue that delivers a consistent hard hit. The cue features and excellent grip that most players will love!"
- "Ok so my first impression of the monster crush was wow, I love the look of the cue. It looks great. Secondly I picked it up and was thinking wow this is heavy( I’m used to breaking with a lighter cue) not sure if I’m gonna like this. Of course the cut break shaft with the Horo black storm tip is absolutely awesome which I was already used to from using it with the blackout.
So the cue was looking great, the first few times I broke with it, I kept thinking man this is heavier than I like to break with, but I kept using it to give it a chance. Now that I’m used to it I absolutely love the monster crush. I feel like I have so much power in my break with minimal effort. Which gives me so much more control. I would definitely buy this break cue. Everyone that I have let try the break cue loves it as well.
The Monster Crush is the best break cue I’ve used, I have more power with less effort. More control of the cue ball on the break. The cue looks amazing. I have the blue one and it gets attention every time I get it out of my case. 10 outta 10 recommend"
- "I love the feel of it. It was balanced perfectly. For whatever reason, it felt better than the Black Out butt right from the start. From the first break head on, I felt totally comfortable with it. It breaks like a beast and my second ball break is as good as ever. I would recommend this cue to anyone looking for a straight breaker for sure. It just felt smooth and natural.
One thing about the tip is you have a very nice amount of control over the cue ball. Personally I think this is an excellent break cue."
Straight Breaker Reviews
- “I love that you can break from the side and you don’t lose the cue ball”
- “Breaks amazing, when I share it people’s reactions make me giggle”
- “For the first time I feel comfortable putting top on my side breaks.”
- “It feels better than any break cue, it hits solid but I still have control.”
- “Probably the best break cue I have ever used. I am super, super impressed.”
- “The Jacoby Straight Breaker with the Horo Tip performs unlike any break cue I’ve used in my billiards career. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in the amount of dry breaks that occur and I give credit to how explosive the hit is with the straight breaker. The Horo Tip, combined with Jacoby’s carbon fiber shaft makes it easy to control the cue ball, giving me the freedom to increase break speed. I strongly recommend the Jacoby Straight Breaker to all players, new and advanced, if you want to improve your game and win more!”
- Reported only dry breaking 12/200
